Until further notice there will be no training at Memorial Field. Stuart has been attempting to get something sorted out with Kilmarnock, we'll try to keep you as up to date as we can.
The new season is now well underway with the 1st XI picking up 5 victories from their first 6 games and the 2nd XI struggling a little but showing the typical Ardrossan fighting spirit.
The new wicket is bedding in well and has already seen more than it's fair share of runs this season - a club record 346 against Whiteinch, 320 against Irvine with first Clayton Lambert setting then Jonathan Paterson equalling the club batting record of 162 in those two matches - congratulations go to both players.
Speaking of the new wicket (and as per the WDCU's announcement, 9th June 2008) we respectfully ask that visiting teams' players (or indeed any of the home team !) don't use spikes on the new strip.
Remember to check out AGM and committee meeting minutes in the site library.

At the EGM (7th April) it was decided to keep the level of the club subs as below.
Juniors : £10 Seniors : £30 (plus £25 rugby club subs) Students (uni,college etc) : £10 (plus £25 rugby club subs)
As you all know we have spent around £7000 on a new wicket so we need to start raising money for the club and the members are the first place to start. The subs are due to be paid by the END OF MAY 2008. The rugby club subs enable us to use the club facilities etc. We are continuing with the £3 match fee (both home and away), £1 for juniors. If anyone has or could have problems paying subs before the end of May then please speak to Norman and he will come to an arrangement with you. Also if you are a passenger in a car travelling to a game this season, please take the effort to offer some petrol money to the driver.
As ever if you wish to sponsor the club or have any ideas on raising funds for the club please don't hesitate to get in touch with the club either via a member or through our Contact Us page.
